Default Spotting Scope

Did some scope sighting in yesterday and the handle threads on one adjuster would not tighten up on mt spotting scope. Found the threads were worn out on the shaft. The threads are 5x.8 metric, not my cup of tea. Stopped in at Bubba's and he made me a new shaft from some 6 mm stainless rod. Next to find a screwdriver that wants to donate a handle and adapt it to the new shaft.

First two pics before, last two after.

Here is the new handle. Came with some auction stuff a few years back. The type with the multiple bits. The 6 mm rod fit real tight. Machined 4 grooves in the end or the rod so epoxy would have a grip. Tapped in about 3 1/2" with a hammer.
