I heard about this. Glad to see it go thru.

I am wondering though, if they will try to put limits on it though. Like, if the tractor is still under warranty, repairs by others than factory technician will void the warranty. Then if the equipment has an mortgage still in it, will the banks require factory technicians to make sure their Assets are taken care of “ properly “

I can still see a big fight ahead, before the manufactures give up their secrets. And they will probably charge 4 times as much for the information.

Now that is nothing short of amazing. How in the world did the Colorado legislature ever get invaded by enough sensible people to come up with that???

Related to the fight, but something a little bit different.

My brother, the IT guy, says JD made the alleged mistake of using Linux open source to base their operating system on. If he is correct, there is only one direction this can go.

It's possible to license a commercial Linux for embedded use. The fact they're using it might not have any major implications
