Looking at the front cover of the book I see a picture of cap-screw holders, made by Frank Ford. http://www.homemadetools.net/cap-screw-holders http://www.homemadetools.net/50_best_homemade_tools BTW, the site also has Cutters phase converter, digr's belt sander, same sander listed twice from SFT and bbs.

I have been getting emails from them for quite a while. they make a "top picks" list and email it out, along with new submissions. the projects usually get linked back to the host. Some of the projects are interesting, to say the least. Others are a very good source.

I don't believe they need permission. Once something is posted its public domain and is not patentable.

I spent about 30 minutes going through there yesterday.
Should I feel upset that none of my stuff has been stolen?!? I guess it's a sorta compliment to you guys. You've all done some great projects, worthy of being shared and others see it as such. I did notice as a non-registered member that the project had a few pictures, a brief description, and a link back to the original thread wherever in the world it was posted. At least they weren't claiming the works as original to their own site/forum. I wonder what their forums look like, but not enough to register and find out. I'm becoming kind of disenchanted with them lately but for completely different reasons. |

I found one attributed to me but it is actually a photo from one of Diverbills projects.

As long as they attribute things to SFT it will draw in some members

The only thing that really aggravates me is they don't have a category for "forksnatches".

Hmmmm. Wonder what their reaction would be if someone posted their free book to a website?

I think they would love it as they would attract more people to their site.
