i have a friend that worked on those fiberglass sided van trailers for a few years,he gave me a couple of hints to not be as miserable doing the job , use alot of baby powder on your arms and neck (the idea is to keep the fibers out of your pores ) and if you dont use the powder use an old pair of pantyhose to get the fibers out .and wash in cold water ,hot water makes the fibers go deeper .i have tried these tips and found them to work well.

Tommy-I know what your saying, the fibreglass just gets into everything. I seem more susceptible to it now than when I was younger, prefer not to work with it anymore.
I find my welding jacket works good, also use it for light sandblasting.

Big
Tommy is on the right track. In my commercial drywall days, we used to have to insulate walls regularly...ceilings too. ![]() ![]()

In my previous life at my old job, we used about 80,000# of resin a week when we were busy (we made fiberglass fan housings and other ag parts). one of the tricks the finishers (guys with saws and sanders) told me about was like above, to take a COLD shower, and to use downy liquid fabric softener as your first "soap". It apparently helped to get the fibers off of you and keep them from getting caught in your pores again on the way to the drain. another little trick they started using was to use the disposable tyvek suits to help keep the stuff off completely.

This is the final pic, just need to install the front bumper and turn signal light.
Deliver this one tomorrow morning and pick up another one for hood paint repair.
