Airplane for 100 out of wood already done. The Spruce goose. WW2 project of Hughs aircraft finished 1946 ? It flew 1 time with enough air under the belly to say it was airborn.Howard had it kept it ready to fly till he died . It was a Mega move on TV when it was barged North to its new home.

Dang you beat me to it They had a thing about Howard Hughs on Modern Marvel that was pretty interesting.

When it was stored out in the open down in Long Beach,Ca. I drove my service truck under the tail section and got a pic. They had a chain link fence around it and you could get under the tail. Couldnt touch it tho- it was like 30' up.
