Anybody built or used a homemade forge?

I don't think the highlighted part of your post was really required, do you? Those of us who know (and yes, even love) boilerman expect that he was drinking beer while playing with fire.

I picked up this Canady- Otto rivet forge a few years back. First picture is as- found, second is after I bent a new set of legs out of the top rail from a chain link fence.
