Default Buffalo Forge

I stumbled across this on ebay. Hoping to pick it up cheap. I was wondering if anyone knew what type of fuel it used. Only thing I could think of was kerosene, but would that get hot enough? Anyway it's a rather kewl find.

I don't know what it is, but I seriously doubt it's a forge. The thing appears more to be a room heater, probably kero, but I wouldn't wan tto light it in anything other than an open field.
