Question New to the boards (Dynasty 300 owners look)

Hello all. I've been lurking for awhile, And really like the board you have here. I've been welding for a couple of years as a hobby, and a profession. I work for the Department of Defense as a civilian army welder. 95% of the procedures are A/c Tig welding, And the rest is a little bit of all other procedures. (Mig, Stick, O/A Brazing,Etc.) Anyway, I have a question. Some of you guys have the Dynasty 300 from Miller, And This Is the Machine that has me written all over it. Where, How much and any other particulars you may have about the 300 would really be appreciated. Also, Do you guys have any links to stores that usually have the lowest price for the 300.

Thanks again!

I have had mine for a while. My dealer beat the lowest internet price by about 300.00. At the time I got theTIGrunner package for 4800.00 tax included.

I suggest looking at a local supplier. They can beat any internet price. Open an account with them and let them know you will be buying consumables with them.

They all have the same cost when it come to machines. Gas and consumables is where they make their profit. The price should be between 20-25% off list. Less than 20% off list ask them if they supply KY for free, with that quote. 25% off list is a hell of a good deal.

I live in Steel Valley, Somerton is the town. Welcome aboard.

My local supplier has beaten Internet pricing many times for me. Plus he delivers my gas bottles for a flat rate of $7.00 a load, which is great since I live a ways from that supplier. They want my business!

My local supplier Rick at SJ Smith, (aka Farmer on this board) takes very good care of me. I get deliveries also at a low rate, cheaper than the diesel fuel it would cost me to go pick them up. He includes me in a weekly route when I have orders pending.

Local suppliers can always beat an internet price if they want to. Most suppliers in the Chicago, IL area sell Miller at 20% off list to walk-ins. Rick does me better than that.

Just to give you an idea.

I recommend a Weldcraft Crafter series torch to go with the Dynasty. I have the 300 amp, water cooled torch running off a Coolmate 3. I put quick disconnects on the cooler and torch. There is a thread under the equipment forum showing how I did it and the part numbers.
