Default fishing has begun, i'll get the welder

the fishing season has begun in the great white north so i have been busy with welding. the boat trailer is made to haul the boat and that is it. now load another boat on top and all the fishing gear plus all the cheap southern gas, of course it is got to break. on sunday night i spent 2 hours getting this boat and trailer off the road. it was over loaded and the fenders ate the tires. so i removed the fenders and put some tires on to get the thing off the highway. monday was a pre-booked work day and tuesday it rain cats and dogs all day but today i was able to get working on the trailer. the so-called road is rough enough to banana the trailer on a couple good frost heaves that could have been used for filming the dukes of hazzard.
the boards that hold the boat got broken to so damage has been done to the boat. i jacked up the boat and stuck so wood in to get the boat and trailer off the highway.

we usually run the boat out to the nearest lake and unload it but this boat is now a leaker so it was plan B. with my staff we were able to get the boat off the trailer. next i flipped the trailer over to get it straight again using long straight edges. found where it was bent and zip cutted a space to get the bend out with a little fish plate to help out.

I hope you raised the price per pound for the fish they haven't caught yet.

What's to keep them from bending it in a different spot on the way home?

Tim KS -- going home is easy because all the cheap gas is gone, all the cheap food is gone, all the cheap camping gear is now left behind in the garbage. so the boat is empty and they are not allowed to take many fish across the border too.

tomorrow i fix up the fenders and a few other things then start on the boat, lol.

today project between the rains was to get the boards fixed up and the front winch and hitch back on. the boards brackets were easy just straighten out the mess and make new double wide pieces for the back since it carrys most of the weight of the boat. magic was preformed to the highest standards today, lol.

not sure yet, fell off at the start of the road. when i arrived to change out the flat tire the wheel hub was hot and this is after sitting on the highway for about an hour waiting for me to arrive. today i popped the wheel hubs apart and of course the wheel bearings are cooked. i was able to save the spindle.

this trailer is turning in to a money pit and the credit is good because i phoned and checked, lol.
