Default No moving parts HVAC well really just the 'V'

Well I burned up another ventilation fan for my hot work bench/fixture. So I have been thinking that a set up with no moving parts would be ideal my one job involves welding on parts that have residual stamping oil left on them we can weld through the oil but if generates alot of smoke. So combined with the smoke eductor I vented it outside as well. I was not thinking when I first started it or I would have taken more pictures.

Inside is just a 1/4" pipe Tee you can see the 1/4" nipples sticking out the sides. The elbow and cap are aligned with the outlet of the Tee so I know the position of it just incase it gets out of alignment.

In the Tee is a pipe plug with a #52 hole drilled in the plug for a nozzle.

I works well with 10 PSI of air you can see the KISS plumbing on the A/C I just got around too....

Looks to be a slick way to vent the work for sure. Nicely rigged.

Would it be possible to have a pic of work in progress to demonstrate the venting in action?

Ron, you can conserve a lot of air, without a drop in performance, by putting a pipe plug in the "T" with about a .100" in. hole drilled in it. RED

So a venturi effect creates enough vacuum to suck smoke out the pipe? Very slick setup.

A #52 is a .0635 size hole, even smaller.
