Shop multi stand

For the past few years I have been using a salvaged stand a friend gave me to clamp various stuff down like my "welding" vise. I was using my pipe vise and the 4" vise back and forth, and I had enough. I've had a plan to mount everything on plates with 2" square tubing that can fit into various stands and fixtures (including the stake pockets on my trailer) so I came up with this. (See pictures)
All the material is salvaged from what was laying around. I'm happy with the way it turned out, now the plan is to build a heavy base and mount my bench grinders on similar plates.

Great.
When you upload from a phone it auto rotates your pictures so they are sideways. At least you get the idea.

looks pretty good from here... I did something similar, but to where they will mount to my welding table and to a place on my Gantry... it is nice to be able to remove and change vise grinders and benders, like that. for being in use or just out of the way...

did you use a hitch receiver tube and 2" tubing going into it?

Yep that's exactly what I did. Keeps it easy to find materials for future fixtures.
