Default DIY Standing Desk with Linear Rails

Hi all,

I'm trying to make a desk that will move up and down on linear rails. There will be two stop collars to stop the cartridges holding the monitor as well as a pulley system. Then there will be a desk below, that will be on another set of cartridges. The issue I'm experiencing is a lot of racking, such that it is very hard to move the cartridges in concert because they quickly become no longer parallel. Is there a fix that you can think of? Would two pieces of steel in x shape going to each cartridge solve the issue?

Thanks,

James
