Right, and the government agencies need as much as possible to piss away.

Seriously, I know they probably mean well when they started making and enforcing rules and laws, but I personally think they really overstep their boundaries in the grand scheme of life.

A Owner doing the work. It is darn near impossible to make the time limits on inspection . Life gets in the way . Burn out and needed recoup time .

Very much agreed.

Right now the Dodge needs a new front main seal or front cover seal. Either way the front of the engine is leaking oil.

If the truck goes in the shop I don't have anything else to drive unless I finish the brakes on the 72 F350.

Spring is almost here so I should finish up the Ford 2000 tractor and use it.

And I also work 40 hours a week.

I'm probably hiring out the drywall finishing. I'll hang it myself. Going to also hire out having window flashing installed and the walk in shower prepared for tile.

One thing I learned from the rentals was to let the pros handle the things I didn't like to do. Sheetrock was at the top of the list, followed by concrete work and painting.

I found it to be money well spent versus me going back 2-3 times trying to get it right.

If it is a Cummins engine and a quart overfilled, it will leak.
I would talk to your finisher and make sure you hang the boards how he likes them. No vertical joints if possible.

Gerry is right, finishers are picky down here, you will probably be money ahead to let them hang and finish the job, make sure they haul their trash away too.
Some companys don't haul, but a good company has the hauling away built into the job.
Wet sheetrock is tough to deal with.
Plus a good hanging crew can do it in a few days.

I was told only a few months ago when we did a bathroom reno, that the price of mudding is dependant on how good a job of boarding was done. He said 30% more for vertical joints.
He was clean and fast.

I'm running all joints horizontal. I had thought about hiring the whole sheetrock job out. Either way I need the dividing wall between the shop and living area boarded so spray foam can be done.

Time consuming cutting small pieces to fit between the purlins at the roof.

Got about half the outlets wired in for the shop. The sheetrock work really changes the look of things.
