Hot cut hardie for Refflinghaus
I ended up starting with 3/4" X 3" 5160 spring and forged this beauty. 5160 and mild steel for the toes or wings.

Wow.
How do you make something so ignorant as a tool for chomping though hot steel look so pretty. Would love to see a video of that being made, I just cant get my head around the process to go from 3/4x3 to that. very nice piece. Was it all hand hammered or do you use a power hammer or hydraulic press too?

thanks guys.. I was hoping to test it out yesterday but ended up working on the swages instead so I could report back.
Maybe I'll have a chance today.
