Something I am unsure if I should build

When I was running my welding business I carried a million, for works in progress and completed works. But there were exclusions. I could not weld on anything that supported people, catwalks, stairs, balconies, etc. I could but the premiums were higher. Also piping systems, again I could but the premiums were higher. Trailers, farm equipment, general industrial and construction equipment, etc. all covered on my policy. There were things I was asked to repair that I would not touch, most often as the item was in such bad repair, that it was an accident waiting to happen. If I worked on it then I could and likely would be drug into any litigation. I was very very caution of that. I did a job for Miller Electric once, they required $5 million bond, I called my insurance agent told him what I needed, I got a bond for that one job, I was building a number of custom steel pallet to hold particular parts. IIRC, the rider was less than $500, easily built into the cost of the job. Provided a letter to Miller, all was good. Trampolines are notorious for attracting lawsuits.

I was asked once by my broker why I never had a claim, I said I am choosy on what I work on, if it looks dodgy I say no. Well since you never have a claim you rates have stayed very low. I was very conservative on anything to do with the business.

I build/make BB guns, some folk claim their pellet rifles. The Fed lets me call them BBguns, so be it.

I've given some as gifts, with an easily removable plug in the barrel. It's given as a toy, a BB gun with a red plug. So be it.

Making a frame is just that. Add a disclaimer "not for physical use" and get a signature on a paper that says it's a horticulture shade
