"How to" Forge a Straight cut Hardie..
I used the anvil which is a german style with plenty of mass and support for the hardie hole.. I would not recommend doing this with an old anvil.. I would not recommend doing this with a London pattern though way back in the day I did it regularly.. I'm posting the video here first and it's unlisted.. I'm doing this because I get burnt out editing the videos and it needs another run through.. Sadly, being a bum I'm good at.. I ended up watching it again after being burnt out editing it and found a few areas where the frames were out of since with anvil shots and it seemed so long in the upsetting sequences.. The reason for the upsetting section being so long is I moved the whole top part over nearly 3/16" so the top would sit over the shank.. Anyhow, these issues were taken care of and shortened.. Also if this link and post could get combined to the original post would probably be good.. The old link will die in the next few days as I will delete the original link as it will serve no purpose with the newer edit..
