I watched this one this morning, admire the quality of work. Your hammer work seems effortless, though i know that it is not. Really enjoyed it.

Thanks for posting them.

Someone once asked me" What is the hardest thing to make
My response is always the same..........me trying to make free time to make tools, toys and fun.

Nice work Jen.

Thanks..

just finished up the "How to" Forge a solid ring into a heart (trivet)... Video..

Took a weeks worth of editing and then some.. Started working on using 4 cameras and learning the work flow of it.. These kinds of videos take so long to make.. Only about an hour to forge out.. 60+ hours to edit.. What is up with that..

next video how to will be on making 90degree bends the hard way in flat stock..

I now own a nice pay for play video editing program, but doubt I'll ever use it as I'm not willing to waste that much time to edit what was recorded. I don't have that kind of disposable time to use. lol Not to say your wasting time doing so. that is just my excuse and it works.

In reality it's all a waste of time.. No pay for the time involved and eventually I will stop producing them all together..

As of late I have been trying to pick skill sets that are not well represented in the millions of all ready produced videos..

Sadly the educational series I have started to produce while good at showing how and why it's done might be to late on the scene to really do any good as they are not entertaining and today entertainment and personal showmanship is more in line with what is in demand..

I had a few people contact me about taking over the job and I asked if they actually watched the videos or knew anything about blacksmithing... After sending them an edited file, they said it wasn't s job they would want to tackle..

The only way to produce picture in picture videos is to have good cameras all setup to film each clip face, horn, vise from the angles needed then they can all be imported and sync'd.. then split out.. The time consuming part is having to clip, crop. zoom every other 30seconds of footage..

Anyhow, it doesn't take me to long to get to burnt out and now that youtube changed their monitization requirements ... I'll probably cut back on video making as the season comes into it's own..

Video season is usually winter..
