Yes, but you do such nice work with it....

Why 7018 ? It's rusty pipe, and there is usually some gap-o-sis
(or gap-I-tis). 6010 is what is popular around here, as well as 6011.

Maybe your pipe is a stronger alloy, and the weld would crack, if done
with 60xx rod ?

Probably mentioned this before...

The difference between a pipefitter and an ironworker (arnworker) is a pipefitter specializes in O-Beam and Round Flange.
