Oh, man PW.... That was a workout. The 2" tube I did about did me in. Had to have a friend come over & he did one, about did him in. The following week he brought his 15 year old stud. He did two more tubes & slept good that night.

Biggest problem I had with the 2" stuff was I was listening to "Oldies" on the radio & Chubby Checker came on singing the "Twist".

I think the tube heard & acted accordingly....................

Swag makes dies for the HF tube roller . They have received great reviews.
This may help.

Using the right tool for the job always makes it easier.

Mark, I can see where rolling 2" tubing in that roller would be a bear. I've done 1.5" in the Shop Outfitters model of that roller and it was tough.

Karl, your top die is a lot deeper than necessary. I got the Protools arch roller a little while back and was surprised at how shallow the dies are. For 1 inch, you don't need much more than something to guide it. Side support isn't really necessary. I don't lube the top (drive) roller, but I do lube the lower ones. Makes a difference.

Another good mod is to get the HF electric pipe threader and use it to drive the roller.

Chumly, tell us more about this mod. Is this something found on the net as a mod? or in a video etc?
