Question More Drugs

Has anyone had any reaction to any of the artificial sweeteners used in our foods.

I can't use sugar and see several different sweeteners used in place of sweeteners.

I have ran a couple of searches and no one seems to know if it does anything bad to you or good either for that matter.

Some don't want to use them because it MIGHT cause a problem later. From what I can see it MIGHT also cause you from ever getting cancer.

Any ideas?

Stevia isn't too bad, you can try Truvia which is made from it but has some added ingredients. Stevia in the raw would be the best but is an acquired taste. You can also use Blue Agave but again, there's pro and con on all that stuff.
Unfortunately, nothing tastes as good as the stuff you're replacing. Just a matter of getting used to it.

Oh, ok. I thought you were wanting a non-sugar sweetener and it makes a difference sweetening a pie or a cuppa coffee.

In general, if you shop around the perimeter of the grocery store, you won't be getting any processed foods with stuff like that in it.

I personally don't have anything against the HFCS like some people do.

Aspartame is made by Monsanto. Before it was released to the public, there was a lot of information against it, as it was shown in testing to cause all sorts of problems, up to & including Multiple Sclerosis.

Once it was released, the reports dried up & several lawsuits originating from Monsanto killed any further test reporting of this.

I dunno, honey or fruit/vegetable squeezings (corn sweetener) seem to be the most natural & least harmful to the human body. Lots of this other stuff can be toxic, as it's a poison & the cells of the body cannot use it.

Keep searching, some obscure stuff might turn up.

After seeing how effective corn gluten is at fattening my friends cows I try to avoid corn syrup.

Americans are far more obese than they were when I was growing up, and the major change was agribusiness infiltrating cheap corn products everywhere they could.

I use honey to sweeten coffee, but since the main reason to drink coffee is caffeine I take generic caffeine pills instead most of the time.

No preparation, no sweetener, no effort, instant caffeine.

And try getting dog kibble that doesn't have corn as one of the first 4 ingredients.

Corn is not evil but no one needs a lot of it.

I don't know squat about the artificial stuff, I love honey. Natural goodness.

When I started this I was really trying to find out if sugar free soft drinks are bad for you.

I still don't know much.
