Here is the backup metering pump.. Energylogic

I bought this brand new in a kit.. It's designed for the 500 model and was single speed.. Oriental motor with gear box as standard.

I wanted it to be adjustable so bought the new speed sense motor with pinion shaft and control box.

I was able to use the original gear box that was attached to the single speed motor.

New on Ebay it was about 100.00 for both (motor and controller). I'll package the control into a raised box on the case.

This Energylogic unit uses a Webster waste oil pump..

Interestingly.. I have never had a problem with regular #2 burner pumps running waste oil thru them.

I often wonder what is the design difference if there is any at all.

I like the Webster 2 stage pumps about the best.. They have a chopper inside instead of a screen filter.. With #2 fuel oil I betcha it works a treat.

With used oil it seems to pump well without plugging up being used after the sock filter.

Just seems to make sense to me..

Last oil cleaned.

Seems the sock filter gets more effective the longer in use.

the "black goo" appears to have formed accidental art, the second picture shows a bird head, and a sleeping rabbit.
