Banzai, I worked with that material a ways back in my house when I replaced a window. I couldn't convince the wife that 1/8" strapping would make just as good trim as wood molding...

Metal Kiln Shed
Now-now I have had to resort to using metal at times. Here's a picture of an all metal kiln shed. Designed and built in place using doubled up metal studs for framing. Not a stick of wood in the place. Even used a cutoff blade in my miter saw to cut the studs.

I got lucky and got a private invitation to come over here....by somebody called "The Welding Nazi" or something like that. |

Welcome aboard, Stovepoker. We sure don't mean to be hard to find; I think everyone who came here on the first ship tried to write home to everyone we could before the iron curtain got slammed on pmails & other communication. Without even a membership list it was just a losing battle.
So of course, contact anyone you can & bring them along.

Cutter, ya don't want to take Pete too serious, I have a list of 6 phone numbers and his email, and he still can't be found 90% of the time. Of course, he's usually worth waitin for cause he makes some damn good eldeberry wine that'll cure damn near any disease known to mankind, or make ya not give a dam yer feelin poorly.

Well, to tell the truth I've made a career out of bein' hard to find.
But I really do enjoy the daily dukeouts in this family, and there's a lot more to be learned here than on corporate tv. Regarding the eldiberry juice, I didn't really learn to weld until I learned proper eye focus by internal means. Them cheap plastic helmet magnifiers jest don't do the same job. |
