Nothing I enjoyed more until I chose not to renew a medical I was told previous not to go for as it would be failure . I guess I could go recreational pilot (self certified ) but have not .

Keep in mind hot short materials (like many grades of aluminum) cannot be autogenously welded. A filler rod of the proper alloy is required on those materials to prevent cracking.
