I used to make every bolt tab, hinge, escutcheon, etc., by hand. Stacking and tacking them together for uniform finishing. I am talking many thousands of parts over years. Now I do it all on my little plasmacam. Over this last weekend, my son and I were working on his freshly painted mustang in my shop. I needed to make two backer plates for the bolts that hold the exhaust hangers. It took me hours of dragging my feet before I could start. It probably took 15 minutes to actually cut the bar stock, nipper off the corners, punch the holes, drill & tap. But I have gotten so spoiled that my handmade tabs have left me wanting, and not wanting to do it.
Yup, I've said it before, and if the GNAP thinks "old dog, new tricks"

I can easily walk them thru the drawing side (CAD) as well as the machine side (CAM)

This one I think would be able to go in the van, and set up on sawhorses.

Also at home, then put away, taking up little space.

note, if running with the included oxy torch, the electrical requirements are very low.
