The DOT's FB had an ad for a lawn tractor for sale. The neighbor a few doors down had an old Monkey Ward (MTD) 16 horse 42 " mower deck $75. After a few messages back and forth plus waiting out a guy who had first dibs but didn't show. I picked up a rider for $60. It seems to run great has a few warts. I need a new engine pulley and have to fix the left spindle up front. We'll get it hauled over here tomorrow.

So, here she is in a gloriously shitty picture taken after dark with a dead camera battery (I got 1 flash picture) More pics manana after the camera charges up. Right at this point priority numero uno will be securing an engine pulley such as exhibit #1. I have not dug very deep. But, no joy on any serial # thus far. Seller claimed the guy he bought it from hit something Not, some ape with no tools tried to pull off the pulley. But, for $60 I wasn't expecting a gem. Thus far it still looks like a pretty good buy.

Heck, for that price, beat the pulley back into shape with a hammer. just like I straightened that sander motor shaft.

Looks like a good buy.

Uh, no King Kong thoroughly destroyed this one. Getting it to run remotely true and balanced as in vibration free ain't happening without way more time than it's worth. New ones seem to run around $45 if I can pin down which one I need.

I have a few of those combo pulleys.
Let me know what size yours is and I'll dig through my stash.
