Default Disc Harrow Identification

Does anyone know the make and model of this disc? Im pretty sure it's International but can't find a tag on it.

I had one like that a few years back. No ID on it, but also thought it was International. Bought it for $25 and sold it for $75. Sure wish I had kept it. Have needed it several times since.

They usually had ‘IH’ somewhere on castings, at least on a lot of them.

Dearborn usually had a tag on the upright three point hitch arms with rivets.

Case is the only other one I recall as red offhand, though there were lots of different manufacturer’s through the 50’s and 60’s.

Not a fast hitch but looks similar. Mine is 3 PT hitch. Tore into it today. Front two sections were a mess. Worn bearing halves and broken spool bearings. Discs had spun on the axle because someone place the shaft in the wrong hole. Ordered everything from Agri Supply. New axles, discs, bearing halves and bearing spools. A LOT cheaper than a new disc harrow..

If there was only one or two discs that had spun, we would weld them up and grind them back to size.

The other thing that we ran across quite often was not enough washers under the axle nut, so the nut would ‘tighten’ but actually be bottomed out, and the discs would wiggle ever so slightly and wear into the axles.

We had a bucket of large washers just for that, any that we found went into it.
