Fools and their money.
I have a splitter out here that the owner left at the site he was preparing for his new house. Someone dumped a bunch of crap in the tank, while it was there. Over the years the screen in the filler breather strainer unit had been busted out. So the crap got in and clogged up the suction strainer. It caused him no end of grief, until he asked me to see if I could figure it out. Took a few days but I finally figured out the problem
New suction strainer, new FSB unit and a good cleaning of the tank should cure the problem. He has not decided whether or not to replace the tank, yet. So that project is on hold
A new tank is cheaper then the shop hour charge would be to clean the old one.
Dan.
