Be careful out there everyone. It seems that the world is going to panic it's way into a real disaster if they're not careful.

Case in Henry County Mo. The wife works at my plant. She was sent home 14 days. Serious talk of 2 week plant closure .It all depends if school annuals come in from teachers home . If not we are going to be on a forced vacation.
Retiring in May and was hoping to hold vacation till June for pay .

I've wondered that too. I've talked to several people who say think they've had it already, but no way to know for sure.

The main indicator/differentiator is high fever and is why many places scan for temperature as people walk in. But remember, I only play a doctor on TV so take that for what it's worth...

Hope you boys get better!

I would suspect this has been out there incubating in the population and mutating for a while now. It is probably the grandchild of H1N1, whether someone helped it along or not.
Here is the demographics for Canada:

Quote:
Since March 13, Canada’s COVID-19 cases have more than doubled to 341. Of the first 304 patients, 51 per cent were female, 31 per cent were over 60 years old and 13 per cent were hospitalized. Seventy per cent of cases are travelers, and six per cent are their close contacts, according to the Public Health Agency of Canada. All of them became sick between Jan. 15 and March 13. In Canada, one person has died of COVID-19.
But the good news is it's not measles. Each case of measles causes an astronomical 12 to 18 new cases, compared to about six for polio, smallpox, and rubella. Each case of the new coronavirus is estimated to cause two to three others.
