Default Another vise thread

Came into work today and this vise was on my work table.

The movable jaw looks like a Wilton. The base looks like the Palmgren version. No makers mark.

Got the screw out. Got the nut that holds the screw in removed off the back of the base.

After a lot of PB blaster and diesel fuel I got the rotating piece out of the base.

After more PB blaster and diesel fuel and some heat I got the stationary jaw off from the movable jaw.

Will continue again tomorrow. Need some hardware.

Dang, that thing was rusty. I'm surprised it's cleaning up that well.

Up here we call that a parrot vise.

Probably when you get all that scale and crap off the outside it will say "Made in China" Bwahhaha

I have one out there that looks like that one and embossed on it is Chicago USA
