Default Miller 225g plus wont weld dc

Hey everyone I have a miller bobcat 225g plus that I just picked up. It generates power through the outlets and will weld on the AC setting. But I have nothing through any of the DC welding settings. I've checked the f1 and f2 fuses and cleaned all the connections and still have nothing. Does anyone have any advice where I could start looking to find the problem?

First off, welcome to the forum! I have no experience with this machine but years ago I had a 220volt ac/dc machine that would weld on ac but not the dc side. The problem was that it had two bad diodes, once they were replaced it would then weld on the dc side. Good luck I hope you find the issue and get it corrected!

Yes, I agree sounds like bad diodes.

Moved the thread, since this is about fixing a welder and not the actual welding process.

Ive got a plate from a welder I scraped out that has what I believe to be diodes on it. Let me know if you want it.
