Default 2013 Toyota Prius

Neighbor stopped by with a 2013 Toyota hatchback and couldn't get
the rear license plate off and the screw heads were rounded off and
no way to get a hold of them. We removed the inner panel and there
was no way to get at them. I had him take both battery cables off
and I would tack a piece of FB on the screw heads and use an adjustable
wrench to remove them, and I would not be responsible for could go wrong.
He agreed and after covering all exposed areas I went for it and it worked
without any adverse effects to the cars computer systems

WTF? Why did the license plate need to be removed?

It is best to remove the license plate before you ditch them in the river and claim them stolen.

Could you have ground a new slot in the head with a thin cut off wheel on the grinder?

We always had good luck removing broken rounded out bolts with a pneumatic engraver . Hard hit with hammer then vibrate them out.

Or leave them parked as fuel for a BLM riot.
