Hopefully by this time next week the city has inspected and we have a slab. Click image for larger version

Best of luck with the build, looking forward to watching the progress, and the move in!

Looks like a good start, I guess no shower room/plumbing.

Are you going to have room for a drive/gate in the back?

No, not doing any plumbing. Just electrical and will put in a mini split for heat and cooling.

There is a hose bib right outside the shop if I need water.

Not sure what I'm going to do for alley access. Since I can't meet the city requirement for backset in order to have a door facing the alley, the overhead door is going to have to be facing into the backyard. I'm less than 6' off the property line and they require 20' if you want a door into the alley. I was originally going to put one in later but after seeing the slab height required due to the slope of the yard, I'm rethinking this plan. I'm probably going to have to move the overhead door placement close to the house and pour a drive in the backyard on the west side of the building. Sucks, but it's just how its working out.

Good plan, nice start. Weekly updates?
Now that's what I call a foundation... Just how deep is the frost line?

rollin, rollin, rollin...

Yeah, i plan to keep updating as things happen. I was surprised how deep they dug the footers but the city wanted an "engineered concrete plan". Guess that means "big deep ass footers" in layman's terms.
