Lots of guys have been out of work for a long time.


A lot of them are straight welders with little to no AC generation for auxillary power. I also like the fact that it has AC welding as an option, not something I would be using often, still nice to have.

The noise may be a factor, any engine drive I’ve been around has been noisy, gas or diesel. Longer cables and earplugs? Lol!

The noise comes with the territory you will never walk away and leave it running
My old Miller dial arc has a very noisy fan that does the same thing.

My Thermal Arc inverter is silent when the fan shuts off . If the sun is shining on the front you can miss the displays and not realize that it is on. This can be a bad thing if it happens just before you leave for a vacation.
