Today was replacing the tractor seat and installing a rain cap on the exhaust pipe. Pics of the old seat and the new seat. Only had to drill one hole. Bolted it down with 3/8" bolts to the sub frame of the old seat.

So I suppose it is, or should still be considered oxygen cutting, but with a different heating gas.

A technologically advanced society would teach their children how to start a fire by rubbing two sticks together before teaching them how to use a lighter.

Aren't energy consumption and computers supposed to make life less stressful?

If you are not having fun then you are doing it wrong.

Perhaps.....I didn’t.

The tractor has #two cylinder injector leaking where the fuel line attaches to the top of the injector. Checked with a wrench and it was a bit loose. Tightened the fuel line nut and still leaking. Now have to verify that it is either a metal to metal seal or an o ring.

Chris on that vintage rig I would bet metal to metal crank it down harder than than you are comfortable with and see if it stops leaking. If it doesn't stop "No Blood No Foul" . Figure on replacing the line and the mating fittings that pair up at the pump.

Found out the fuel lines use o rings. Got a set of o rings so we are all set. Now to get an o ring removal tool to get the old ones out. Hoping O'Reilly to see if they have the tool.

That is excellent news O-Rings are a damn sight cheaper than lines and fittings

My optimism was a bit premature. Took an hour to get one of them off in tiny chips. Need to find another method to soften them hard bastards. I think acetone will work but not sure how long it would take.

Straighten out a paper clip and hammer the end flat they make cheap semi perfect o-ring picks.Only downside is they aren't quite stiff enough . But, if you make a little short hook on the end you can usually pull out the o-ring.

Used o ring picks but the o rings are so hardened the pick will not grab the o ring. Could only pick tiny pieces out. Took for ever to get one out.
