I never changed oil in the green leakers by the time 250 hrs came around the original oil had been gone for 150 + hours just change the filters and pour more in (:

Yeah but that's how you know you need to add oil. When they quit leaking you best add some more oil.

Not when my dad did the rebuild.

Honestly though, there is a couple leaks around the valve cover, but over all I have added very little oil to it. Now, hydraulic fluid in the transmission is another story. I probably have gone thru 150 gallons there in 20 years. Luckily I got three 55 gallon drums of used hydraulic fluid from second old job 15 years ago. Still have some left. maybe someday I will get ambitious and try to rebuild the transmission. Probably when it will not move any more at all.
