I always liked the Hobart Fabshield 21B better than the Lincoln 211. Maybe it's because I had a bad roll from Lincoln and not Hobart. I could have just as easily gotten a bad one from Hobart also. Weld quality was very similar on both. The arc seemed a bit softer with the 21B, but still penetrated well. My problem now is most of my suppliers have shifted to Linclon only or switched from Fabshield 21B to Fabshield 23. Got some 23 the other day. I'll have to try it out.

My daughter, S.I.L. and 3 grandkids live in Round Rock about a mile west off exit 254 . S.I.L. works for Dell. The trouble with the whole Austin area is that the elected grand phoo-bahs haven't yet figured how to get a loop around that city, so everything piles up and comes to a halt on I-35. For Pete's sake, San Antonio has two loops and Austin hasn't even figured out how to get one!

hey O.P., it sounds like they lived about in the same area that I did. I worked for Dell for a while before I moved back to Alabama after I got dot-bomed (layed off) when the dot-coms started going belly up.

You got that right about the traffic ... You just haven't experienced traffic till you've seen I-35 at quitting time

SA's talking about developing another one too! I just wish they'd redo the interchanges they screwed up before they go around the counties again. If you think Austin is bad, try Wash. D.C..... It was bad without rush hour. It used to take me 3 to 4 hours to go 20 miles from D.C. to Chantilly Va.

Even lil 'ol Lubbock has a loop and a north/south freeway and we're in the middle of a ten year project building an east/west freeway. The loop has been here for over 40 years and they are constantly re-building it, as they are right now. It would be a sad situation to try to get around town without it. All the construction right now makes it a real PIA to try to get to some parts of the town but I think it will be well worth it.
