Ok every body knows I am an HF Buyer of many products they have I will say their new Vulcan line welding machines are a heck of a deal and a good machine along with other tools and such I am familiar with...

BUT! don't waste your time or money on the MIG wire every rolll is inconsistent crap!

But if your not looking for good quality welds or not worried about tensile strength it's ok for the DYI small shop stuff where it don't matter
but would not use it for any production stuff....JIMO! of burning 3 spools of it out of 4 rolls I bought, now the forth roll is still sealed and now has rust on it....

No problem I made the mistake and figures oh well but in reality I spend 8 bucks more for quality wire from my LWS and have no issues always consistent... although its their brand but seems to be very popular around here among the shops...

I do not remember the timeline as such, but there was a moment in time that HF sold wire that came from Italy. It worked fine for what I needed around the shop and farm. Then, things changed and the Chinkolene came about.

I did not buy it but the cousin that ended up with the Vulcan tried it as that was what came with the packaged deal. After some dubious looking welds I introduced her to Lincoln wire and she's not looked back. I think she's using the Vulcan wire to patch holes in her chicken fencing.

I've only used one spool that came from home D and even that was Lincoln. I keep enough on hand in different alloy's for what I need in Lincoln. Pretty much it. New unopened spools are kept in the house till needed.
