And the tool is cutting the race? Weld that thing up again and save a bunch of time! Once it shrinks, easy peasy!

I would think that you will ether have to burn them out or heat them red hot and bury it in floor dry for a day to be able to do any lathe work

You may still be able to push them out by welding a round slug to the inside of the race and push from the OPPOSITE SIDE to push it out and if it works do the welded side, it might take the rusty ring with but thats not a big deal

what others have said.
What I see in the picture. I have removed quite a bit of races with a 1/4" pin punch. "most of the time" the races are 1/16" smaller than the flange/seating surface just enough of the races stick out, about 1/32" and you tap the races out with a punch. race will move about 0.003 at a time, you have to keep going all the way around and equally tap the race out. If you tap on one side to much you may screw up the bore. If there is any issues then I use a Dremel and a good work light..... a good work light.

Since the race has shrunk a little bit, it won't be as tight in the bore as it was originally. Sooner or later, the race is going to start slipping/spinning in the bore and cutting will cease. Will it mar the bore? Will it be thin enough to deform and get pried out? Will all progress come to a halt? Will Timmy finally listen to his elders? Tune in tomorrow for the conclusion of As The Bearing Spins.
More popcorn, please.
