Default Starrett No. 49

I picked up one of these at the antique market. I usually pick up tools with brand names with a good price.

It was 20 bucks and said Starrett on it. I'll attach a picture of it. I have yet to find an owners manual or any pictures or videos of what uses it has. It might be just a handy combination of these angles for basic layout or a quick check for these 4 angles.

Thoughts?

That is a real cutie. With the one arm adjustable in angle the other in angle and two directions it should do something very well, just WHAT I couldn't hazard a guess. :-) BUT if you needed to do whatever it's for it should do it well, after all it's a STARRETT. :-)
