I got it off Craigslist for free, never ran it.

With a 7 and a 3 and a 3600 rpm motor you get 8,400, way too fast. With a 1120 rpm motor you get 2613. Way to slow. A jointer needs to run between 4500 and 5000.

A normal 1725 would give him 4025

All finished up now. As often happens with me, my thrifty gene was in high gear and I was determined to use my pulleys and my V belts and spend no money on this project. After 6 days of dicking around I broke down and bought a 2"OD 5/8" bore pulley. The 12" pulley had bad out of balance vibrations so decided to start all over with the pulleys. Cuts real nice now. I also adjusted the blades and reset the tables too.

Forgot to mention that I am at 5220 RPM.
