My parents bought a new GE refrigerator/freezer combination before my oldest brother was born and he is 72 now so it's at least that old. My Mom used it till about 2000 then passed it off to my youngest brother who used it for another 20 years. The only service it ever had was door seals. My brother finally bought a new one this week and called me to ask if I wanted the GE, it is still working fine. It's missing a plastic trim piece and he said the handle broke off but I haven't seen it yet. I do know I had that trim piece kicking around my shop for years but it is now gone and I can't find one anywhere online. I can't even find a picture of this model anywhere online, it has a separate door for the freezer, not the inner door inside the fridge compartment like so many did back then. I still have the original owner's manual. My problem is I don't have anywhere to put it and I am debating what to do with it. I am really pissed about losing that original trim piece.
