Copper Anti-sieze, for ground connections ?

Doing some maintenance on my 2001 F250.

Its a documented problem on this platform, the OE grounds getting oxidized/going open over time, I think there might be a total of 8 main power distribution grounds on it.

It can get so bad, the pump of the automatic is known to WELD itself together ( rotary vane ), with enough current passing through, the trans acting as a conductor to ground, when most of the OE grounds have failed.

The 7.3PSD, being a Huei engine, it has some higher amp needs that dont get met under certain conditions ( mostly starting ) when the OE grounds start to fail.

Question is, would sealing up a factory ground eyelet connectors with copper anti-seize be a good thing or a bad thing ?

My connections, and the metal they go in are good, Im just cleaning and reassembling.

What say you ?

Clean the connections real good and tighten, then paint or clearcoat over the entire connection. Anti-seize can act like an insulator.

Ok, so thats what I was asking. I was thinking it would act like grease ( insulating on some level ) but then was wondering about why they sell it with copper in it.

Windy, you may consider anti oxidant grease as used in the electrics on house wiring

Ive got some of that on had, I think its called " ox-guard " or similar, for dissimilar metals ( copper/aluminum )

That is what I use, I have tried the battery post spray and is seems to work well n my flatbed trailer. I have some left over anti corrosion grease we used on fasteners bolting the missile stages together I got when doing ICBM missile installations back in the 80s. Says it is electrically conductive.

Bill I would use a dielectric grease for that connection. And probably a star washer for good measure.

Sure, thanks, the oe eyelets are star style, I have a tube of " Grote " branded grease ( for truck lighting ). Not sure why I did not think of that. I also have a 5 gallon pail of Fluid Film !, maybe that would be handy as a top dressing as digr suggested, in a manner that mccutter uses clear paint.

Im thinking I should but all of these different technologies in a blender and then I could enjoy the benefits of all of them.

So one thing I was hoping to learn, why do they make a high copper in anti-seize ? I think I have high zinc a/s for high temps, I was thinking the high copper style was for electrical connections, but I dont remember...

I did google this before I posted, while I got some answers, none where really specific to what I was wondering, about the copper.

I spray fluid film under my vehicles before winter. They also have undercoat formulation.
