Those prices are not exactly enticing but I am glad to see stuff like that become more available. The only way to get stuff like that around me is to go to the horse shoeing supply house about 45 min away, or buy it online. Between that and the prices, making my own forge was pretty much a no brainer.
The G10 and Micarta handle material listed is great for knife making and those prices are much more reasonable. It would be great if I could buy that stuff locally, but the online supply houses are pretty good to deal with.

I missed the vise, that is a bit more tempting with the exchange rate but still outside of the budget for the moment. If horrible freight carried one all the important parts would be cast from pot metal
