One of the minions quit, he worked Monday, never came back on Tuesday, he stopped by the job today, to drop off his keys, credit card and telephone. He said absolutely nothing, handed me a bag with the company related equipment, then he turned and walked out.

Apparently he decided to take a job in a convenience store, realizing he was better suited for a life of retail, than boiler service work. He was not a bad guy, but was an absolute zero in the manual labor related aspects of the job. The look on his face, when he was handed a 36” pipe wrench was priceless.

New threader is here, the right welding rod and 15 hour days, we are actually catching up, my opinion that we may get 75-80% of the scheduled work done. They announced another 4 day shut down to install a new conveyor system, in about 3 weeks, so we will finish up then.

Has anyone checked the news reports ?
Didn't the SFT Bail Fund require "Chipping" ?

Or minions... "One guy walked off the job. Haven't seen the other one since the day we did a test firing."

As a kid, I had a Dirty Jobs moment on a summer job at a private school. I had to scrape and wire brush the insides of the oil burning fire boxes on several large hot water furnaces. Hot, nasty job. No power tools, no PPE provided.
