Talking First Pipeliner Job Pics

Howdy y'all...well I'm one step closer to my ultimate goal....after 2 years of gettin advice from y'all, welding my *** off, calling people all over the country and weighin the pros and cons I finally did it....I got in with Local 798...THE PIPELINERS!!! On my first job with them now in Virginia doing some compressor station work building launchers and recievers fer the smart pigs and doing some upgrading along the mainline itself. We have been workin with 26", 10" and 8" pipe up to 500 wall (1/2 inch thick). All I can say is that its a dream come true...I LOVE IT!! I'm lookin forward to gettin on a mainline job after this one is completed in a few months. The line we are workin on now is a Columbia Gasline mainline. Anyway I thought I would post some pics fer y'all of some of the work we have done so far. If ya got any questions feel free to ask and I'll answer as soon as I can. I want to give a big ole THANKS to SFT members like Bfootn, Diverbill and MANY others that helped me along the way...I can't thank y'all enough!! Hope ya enjoy the pics.

Hey Rod! Congratulations on getting accepted with the pipeliners and your first pipeline job. Thanks for posting the awesome photos! Do any of those manly downhand welds belong to you? I'll be looking forward to seeing some more of your own work!

That's just great Rod! It's always satisfying to see a guy get what he's worked so hard for. BTW, what rig did you wind up getting?- I'm betting the SA 200. Keep the pics coming.

Ah, now that you are done with weighing the pros and cons, how much do they actually weigh??

As for being the newest member, enjoy it while you can, someone else will soon be the newest member, putting you automatically one rung up the seniority ladder. I am assuming that the seniority does count in the piperliner organization

And there is only one n used with the word "in". Am now headed for an undisclosed location for my safety.
