Yeah, A vacuum test can point you there as well... or just drop the pipe at the converter/ers but the true test would be, test pipe between eliminating cat temporarily if going that route...

Yeah, I think the vac system has some other leaks... If I can avoid that in testing I will, have not looked yet, on the list.

I can drop the pipe just before the Cat Converter, that is the plan there.

Yes lotsa pictures...

Finally got back to working on the Dodge. Now there is a story behind that...

But later on the story...

Half of the plenum gasket was gone, a bunch of the bolts were loose it was
a mess. We have one head off the intake manifold off need to pull the other
head and then get the block out going to do a low budget engine rebuild.
Very minor ridge and the cylinders look good, light glaze.

Pictures on my phone will post later.

That doesn’t sound like operator error.

Pictures.

Half the gasket was sucked out or missing. A number of screws were loose.

We will use RTV to glue the new gasket in place and blue Loctite the screws
in the housing.

But there is a hole in one of the exhaust manifolds, so rebuilt heads new
exhaust manifolds. Not to much of a ridge in the cylinders. So pull the
engine evaluate everything and replace/repair whatever it needs and
move on.

Stopped by HF yesterday and picked-up a new hydraulic cylinder for the
engine hoist and an engine stand, breaking down in my old age...

Let me know when you are done, I’ll bring mine up. I’ll even pay for the parts.

I don’t have a vac leak, it is just burning oil and coolant.
