Looks great.. I can see you love your milling machine..

The table and horn of a wrought iron anvil are easily welded with any mild steel rod or wire with no pre heat..

I know before you were saying you just wanted it more serviceable.. Well I think you have achieved that and more..

Looks nice!!!!! From the machining marks the top looks to be harder than the table.

Perfect.. If you get a 30 out of wrought iron your doing well.. The wrought iron will surface harden over time but not to and extreme though if worked just right you can make a pretty dandy spring out of it..
