I also think it was a good deal, but more importantly, you think it was. And that's what counts.

You did quite well. a little clean-up and oil in the blower you will be in good shape (and make a new spring for the post vice). Good deal for you. Arm & Hammer is a high quality anvil.

Without doubt, you got an awesome deal!

Arm & Hammer anvils are considered to be among the best, and you're right that it has a wrought iron base with a tool steel top forge welded on. If the top face and edges are in good shape, I'd think that it would sell on eBay for darn near the $200 you paid for the whole lot!

Around here I'd say $150-$200 for the anvil, $50 for the vise, $100 or so for the forge, and $50 or so for the extra blower. Yeah, you good a good deal. And good on you for giving the extra $50, it was certainly worth it and you'll sleep better for it!

Good luck with it, let us see it when you get it cleaned up and working!

I'll say YOU SUCK!

If that had been for sale in this area the price would have been way higher.
Definitely made it past my best before date, certifiable, but certified for nothing
