Default Gasoline From a Diesel Pump !

That’s right, I smelled gasoline as I starting pumping what I thought was Diesel fuel into a container.. it actually seemed like a mixture of diesel and gas. The smell was not as strong as pure gasoline and the color was not quite as green as pure diesel.

I mentioned it to the attendant, I’m not sure they took me seriously. I refused to pay the $1.76 that came out before I noticed.

Way back when, I was working in a Ford dealership and an F-350 7.3 diesel got towed in. Died on road after they filled up. The manager thought they may have picked up water from the pump but the fuel filter didn't have water in it but DID have gasoline, as did one of the tanks... The driver failed to let us know about that little tidbit...

It's funny how little things like that will slip your mind...

My youngest was driving the delivery truck for a local power equipment store,
since it was an E-350 box truck I just assumed it was a diesel... He was wrong.

They towed it back to the shop and he spent the rest of the day fixing that
mistake, and still has not lived it down.

I made some "Gasoline Only" labels and dropped them off at his employer.
