Airco Miget troubleshooting

Over the weekend I picked up a military surplus Miget spool gun set. While it is used, it has seen very little use. Seems the contactor for the feed motor does not work when the trigger is pulled. Yes, it does work when I press the button on the bottom of the spool gun. I've checked all the fuses and they test good. I tried pressing the button on the bottom of the SG while pulling the trigger, no go still.

I am moving on to check other things I picked up yesterday before I get too elbow deep in the SG. Luckily it has schematics on the cover of the control box, so I should be able to figure it out, just wondering if this was a known common problem and a quick fix.

Isn't the Miget just a re-branded Profax gun? Should be lots of info and parts out there...

Sort of looks like a Profax, page 112-115. Catalog pdf LINK (NOTE: 62Mb!) I have a NIB 1106 rheostat if needed.

Can you post a better picture of the schematic without the flash ?

I have just the gun and was wondering what the motor voltage is.

What is the function of the button?

McCutter, I may take you up on that once(if) I get this sorted out. I think it may run on welding voltage from what I've read on another thread.

Gwiz, yes, probably won't have time till the weekend. I'll pull out the DVM to check also.

Gadgeteer, I believe to feed the wire w/o sending weld current. Also maybe to purge gas.
